Simon, Scott & Alex at Christmas 2009

Sunday 27th December 2009

Today we entertained Simon & the boys for tea and to give them their Christmas presents.

It’s been a very busy festive period for us, with Marc & James over for lunch on Christmas, and tea
with Sharon & Keith on Boxing Day. Tomorrow it’s totally different, with a meal out followed by a
visit to the theatre in London’ West End.

My visit to Spurs

Saturday 12th September 2009

To day I was invited to one of the hospitality suites at White Hart Lane, for Tottenham Hotspur’s home game with Manchester United. Here you can see me with rubbing shoulders with old stars, David Ginola and Allan Mullery.

Marc’s home moving

Wednesday 2nd September 2009

Today Marc followed his brother James’ example, and moved out into his new home, courtesy of a “man with a van”.

We all wish both Marc and James lots of health and happiness in their respective new homes for many years to come.

James’ home moving

Friday 31st July 2009

This evening, after much planning, our youngest son James moved out of the family home and into his own place.

It was quite a squeeze, but he managed to get most of his things (most important possessions that is) into the taxi.  We wish him much health and happiness in his new home.

Simon, Scott & Alex watch Spurs at Wembley

Friday 24th July 2009

This evening Simon took his sons Scott & Alex to the new Wembley Stadium, where they watched a great night of soccer entertainment. First off, they saw Scottish team Celtic thrash a top Eqyptian side 5-0. Then the main event – when they saw the world famous Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) take on the current European champions, Barcelona, and come away with a most creditable 1-1 draw.

River Thames Cruise

Monday 29th June 2009

Today Gina & I took advantage of a lovely summer’s day, and we went for a cruise along the River Thames. We set off from the pier next to the Tower of London, sailing under Tower Bridge as far down as Greenwich, and then back again towards Westminster, home of “Big Ben” and the Houses of Parliament. On the way we passed many interesting places and sites, such as HMS Belfast and the “London Eye”. In the evening, we ate “al fresco” at an Italian restaurant in nearby St. Katherine’s dock. You can view a short movie of the trip on our Davis family podcast – enjoy !!!

Here you can see the dome of St. Paul’s Catherdral, through a gap on the embankment.
