Today Gina and I were joined for a lovely Mothers Day lunch by our sons Marc & James.



We had a really great time, and the boys gave Gina a beautiful bunch of flowers with a “Royal Wedding” box of biscuits to help her celebrate the day.

This afternoon we all got together to celebrate my recent birthday.

We were joined for tea by my brother Simon and his two sons Scott and Alex.

Saturday 25th December 2010

Today we had our Xmas lunch part 2 – this time joined by our son Marc and my brother Simon.

We ate lots (too much) of turkey and pudding, then played a new type of party game later in the afternoon.

This afternoon we were joined by our youngest son James for an early Christmas meal, as he will not be able to join the family for lunch next week.


Despite all the snow that we had the day before, he made it over to us after quite a journey.

Sunday 5th December 2010

This afternoon my brother Simon brought over his sons for their presents, as it would be the last chance to see the boys before Christmas.

Friday 26th November 2010

This afternoon by invitation, we visited the House of Lords to an event hosted by The Lord Laird of Artigarvan. Following an introductory meeting in one of the Lords’ Committee Rooms, our group was then given a personal tour of both Houses of Commons and Lords by the Lord, which also included the Queen’s Robing Room and other unique areas. In the evening we were entertained to a three course meal in the Peers’ Dining Room, with a most entertaining after dinner speak by The Lord Laird.

Sunday 7th November 2010

This afternoon we celebrated Gina’s birthday this month by inviting around for tea her cousins Brenda & Don, and were also joined by our sons Marc & James.

This afternoon we made a small family party to celebrate Alex’s 10th birthday later this week.  In the picture are my borther Simon, with his two sons, Scott and Alex.

This evening Gina and I went to a Moody Blues concert at the O2 arena. It was really great, though we both felt that it did not sound as good as when usually held at the Royal Albert Hall.

Sunday 29th August 2010

Today we all went to Henley on Thames to celebrate Marc’s 30th birthday this week, with a lovely meal at a local restaurant. It did rain a little, but thankfully mainly whilst we were still eating.

The sun then came out, and we were able to go a for a nice long walk along both banks of the river, which we then followed by tea.
